Simply mix all ingredients in a bowl and throw your shrimp in there to marinate, then skewer and grill them on the BBQ (or in a pan if you prefer).
Ingredients (for 2 lb. of fresh or frozen shrimp, peeled with tails left on)
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup of grapeseed oil (you can use olive oil but it will burn much faster when cooked)
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar (here's how to make your own!)
2 Tbsp. chopped, fresh basil
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (it will burn off and leave a slight spice, it will NOT be hot!)
rind of 1 lemon or lime (optional, if you have it)
1/2 tsp. salt
TIP: If you're barbecuing the shrimp on a skewer, cover the portion of the BBQ that will have the skewers on top of it, with a piece of foil so they don't burn.
