Dessert with wine: Dark Chocolate Red Wine Cookies

Easy wine pasta!


Try this very easy pasta dish made with your leftover Winexpert Wine... simply delicious!


Winexpert Burlington presents: Decadent and delicious cookies... with wine! Try them out at your next party or get-together. They'll dive in! 
  • 1-1/2 Cups flour (can also use gluten-free flour)

  • 3/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp. of salt

  • 1 tsp. baking soda

  • 1 stick of unsalted butter or dairy-free butter

  • 3/4 cup of sugar or maple syrup

  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar or coconut sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup red wine (pinot noir works great)

  • 1 Cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)

Here's how to do it:

Preheat your oven to 375°F, and put parchment paper onto cookie sheets.

In a mixing bowl, combine first 4 ingredients (dry).

In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugars, then add the egg, vanilla and red wine, mixing well until combined. 

Add the dry ingredients to this mixture, and mix well. Then if using, add the chocolate chips. You may also add some dried cranberries (delicious!).

Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.


WINE FACTS...  Grape skins are especially great antioxidants. Since red wine is fermented with its grape skins, it has more antioxidant properties than white wine.
